These terms cover the use of knowngood.sh, its API and its MCP server, operated by Known Good. By using the site or the API you accept them.
What the service is
Known Good is a search index of websites whose agent-facing capabilities have been probed and tested. Each listing records what our probe observed at a stated date, graded against a public rubric at /benchmark.
What a listing means, and what it does not
A listing is evidence of what happened when we checked, on the date shown. It is not a guarantee about the present, a warranty of any kind, an endorsement of the site or its operator, or a statement about anything other than the capabilities described. Websites change without telling us. Always treat the date on a listing as part of the claim.
Listings are earned by probe, not bought. We do not sell placement, ranking or inclusion, and no payment influences any grade.
Using the API
The API and MCP server are provided for use by agents and the people building them, subject to the published rate limits. You may not circumvent those limits, register keys to evade them, bulk-copy or systematically extract the index, resell or redistribute the index as a dataset or a competing directory, or use anything you find here to attack, overload or disrupt a listed site.
We may change, limit or withdraw access where use threatens the service or the sites in it.
Citing us
You are welcome to quote our figures and findings. When you do, cite the page and the date it carries — the date is the point.
Rights
The compilation of the index, the rubric, the reports and the content of this site belong to Known Good. Individual facts about a website belong to nobody. Site names and marks belong to their owners.
If you run a listed site
You can ask to be removed, or ask us never to check you, using the routes at
/bot. We honour ai-input=no absolutely and without argument.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as-is and as-available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, complete, or free of error. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a listing, from the service being unavailable, or from anything you do with what you find here. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
